We are hosting an informational night for prospective families on March 26 at 4:30 PM at Spirit and Grace Academy. Please RSVP so we can plan for refreshments and seating.
Our mission is to support parents in their vocation to raise children in the Catholic faith by leading students to develop their physical, intellectual, spiritual, moral, and aesthetic capacity.
Rooted in the Catholic Faith
Spirit and Grace Academy tailors the curriculum to prepare our students to be successful in core subjects, deeply understand their Catholic faith, and broaden their education through exploratory Freedom Fridays, equipping our students to think critically and problem solve.
Our students are enrolled through the Nebraska Homeschool Rule 13. This rule applies to all “home schools” and allows parents to educate their child at home or with a group of families by electing not to meet State approval or accreditation requirements.
INSTRUCTIONAL DAYS
Monday – Friday
8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
FREEDOM FRIDAYS
The whole school participates in life skill activities, outings, or community service.
WEEKLY MASS
Once per week, we start the day with Mass at St. John the Evangelist in Valley, NE followed by thirty minutes of adoration and reconciliation.
CORE SUBJECTS
Religion, Math, Social Studies, Health, and English Language Arts. Additional subjects include Science, History, Foreign Language, Leadership, Art, Physical Education, and Wellness.
UNIFORMS
All students wear a black polo with khaki shorts, pants, or skirt.
LUNCH
Students bring their own lunch from home each day.
Tuition assistantance is available to those who may need it.
What are Freedom Fridays?
By way of patience, hard work, service, and ingenuity students develop a sense of the natural world on Freedom Fridays. Parents and teachers together guide and model our children through their hands and hearts. Organically, this leads students to see the true, good, and beautiful in the world. We form students to be good Catholic citizens and continually strive for Sainthood.
Our Teachers
We are blessed with talented, faithful teachers to guide our children. We now have 22 teachers and staff members which includes full time, part time, teacher assistants, an office manager, and Director of Curriculum.

In addition to following the Lord’s teaching and the Holy Spirit’s guidance, parent involvement is key to the success of our school and our students.
VOLUNTEERING
We encourage volunteering at lunch/recess and helping with our Freedom Fridays.
FELLOWSHIP
We have monthly parent socials to continue to build the connection within our school community.
School Community
We feel it is important to foster a sense of community within the school and between different classes. The entire school gathers for community circle to start and end each day. Additionally, we have opportunities for students to grow in their leadership skills through various projects, initiatives, and mentoring younger students. There are many ways for our students to learn from and interact with those not in their exact age group.
Therefore, you shall love the LORD, your God, with your whole heart,
and with your whole being, and with your whole strength.
Take to heart these words which I command you today.
